Creating a vision board is one of the most powerful tools for turning your goals into reality. As a coach, you already understand the value of visualization, intention-setting, and the power of the Law of Attraction. But have you ever considered taking your vision board digital and using Pinterest to make it?

Pinterest isn’t just for recipes and DIY projects; it’s a goldmine for inspiration and a fantastic platform for crafting a virtual vision board. In this blog, we’ll explore easy steps on how you can create a vision board using the new collage tool on Pinterest that aligns with your coaching business goals, attracts your ideal clients, and keeps you motivated to achieve your dreams. Plus, we’ll share additional strategies to make your digital vision board a truly transformative tool.

What Is a Vision Board and What Is It Used For?

A vision board is a visual representation of your goals and aspirations. It’s essentially a collage of images, words, and symbols that reflect what you want to achieve in various areas of your life. By focusing on these visuals regularly, you train your mind to stay aligned with your intentions and take actionable steps toward your dreams.

For coaches, a vision board can serve multiple purposes:

  • Clarifying Goals:

It helps you identify and prioritize what truly matters to you in your coaching journey.

  • Maintaining Focus:

A vision board serves as a daily reminder of your "why," keeping you motivated even during challenging times.

  • Boosting Creativity:

The act of curating a collection of images and creating your board can spark new ideas and solutions for your business.

  • Manifesting Dreams:

Visualization is a powerful technique that can help bring your goals into reality by activating the Law of Attraction.

Whether you’re aiming to expand your client base, launch a new program, or create better work-life balance with your personal goals, a vision board provides a tangible and inspiring way to stay on the right track.

Step-by-Step Guide to Creating Your Pinterest Vision Board

1. Set Your Intentions

Before you dive into pinning, the first step is to take some time to reflect on what you want to achieve in your coaching business or to live your best life. Ask yourself:

  • What are my business goals for the new year?

  • What kind of impact do I want to have on my clients?

  • What personal milestones do I want to reach as a coach?

  • What skills or habits do I want to cultivate?

  • What colors and images represent the life I want?

Write these intentions down—they will guide your vision board theme. Consider breaking them into short-term and long-term goals to give your board structure and direction.

2. Create a Pinterest Account (or Clean Up Your Current One)

If you don’t already have a Pinterest account, now’s the time to create one. If you do already have one, consider cleaning up your profile to ensure it aligns with your coaching brand. Use a professional profile picture or logo, write a compelling bio, and add keywords like “coaching tips,” “goal setting,” and “mindset strategies.”

Create boards with your customer in mind as well as other aspects of your business, such as “Content Ideas” or “Client Resources,” to keep your profile cohesive and professional. You can even create secret boards if you're looking to brainstorm a new product or brand colors without anyone seeing. 3. Create a New Board

Once your profile is ready, the next step is to create a new board specifically for your vision board. This can even be a secret Pinterest board if you don't want anyone to see it while you're still brainstorming.

Here’s how:

  • Go to your profile and click the “+” button to create a new board.

  • Name your board something inspiring like “Coaching Vision Board” or “Dream Big Goals.”

  • Choose whether to make your board public or secret. If you’re not ready to share your vision with the world, select the secret option.

Consider adding a short description to your board that encapsulates your goals and intentions. For example, "A collection of inspiration and goals for growing my coaching business, helping clients thrive, and achieving work-life balance."

4. Start Pinning with Purpose

Now comes the fun part—pinning! Use the search bar to find images, quotes, and ideas that resonate with your goals to create your dream board. Here are some categories to consider:

  • Business Goals:

Pin images of successful coaches, income milestones, or a dreamy home office setup.

  • Client Impact:

Add testimonials, coaching session visuals, or motivational quotes that embody the change you want to create.

  • Personal Growth:

Include pins about self-care, work-life balance, or mindset shifts.

  • Inspirational Quotes:

Search for quotes about abundance, success, and perseverance.

  • Travel and Lifestyle Goals:

If you dream of working from exotic locations, pin travel destinations or work-from-anywhere setups.

Explore niche hashtags like #CoachingSuccess or #WomenInBusiness to find content that speaks to your unique vision. Don’t forget to use the "Save" button strategically—curate rather than clutter.

5. Organize Your Board

Once you’ve added a few pins, organize them into sections. Pinterest allows you to divide boards into smaller categories, which is perfect for clarity. For example, you can create sections like:

  • Business Success

  • Ideal Clients

  • Personal Wellness

  • Dream Office Space

  • Long-Term Aspirations

This organization makes your board visually appealing and easy to navigate. It also helps you focus on specific areas when you’re looking for motivation or direction.

6. Create a Collage

Pinterest has a new feature only on the mobile app where you can create a collage of other images, just like a physical vision board, but now in digital form. It's really fun and quick to create your own vision board. Click the "+" button on your phone and choose "Collage". Then it gives you the option to remix someone else's collage or take a tour of the collage tool. I definitely suggest taking the tour to easily see all the new features.

You can search for cutouts, add text, change the background or add your own images. This is a dream for graphic designers and manifestors alike. Look for beautiful images that bring you positive thoughts and inspirational words that motivate you to add to your digital boards. These collages can then be pinned, saved, or downloaded.

7. Add Your Own Content

Don’t limit your board to existing Pinterest content. Upload your own images or designs to make it uniquely yours.

For example:

  • Use Canva to design custom quote graphics.

  • Upload photos of your own coaching achievements.

  • Include pictures of your family or loved ones to remind you why you’re pursuing your goals.

  • Add snapshots of poster boards and physical vision boards you’ve created in workshops or coaching sessions.

This personal touch will make your board feel more meaningful and authentic.

8. Review and Refresh Regularly

Your vision board isn’t a “set it and forget it” project. Schedule time every couple months to review your board and update it as your goals evolve. Remove pins or images that no longer resonate and add new ones that reflect your current aspirations. Use seasonal goals or milestones as a cue to refresh your board. This manifestation method is limitless. Create as many vision boards or collages as you want. This is your life, dream BIG!

How to Use Your Pinterest Vision Board to Stay Motivated

Once your vision board is complete, it’s time to let it work its magic! Here’s how to keep it top of mind:

social media easy steps manifestation method

  • Visit It Daily:

Spend a few minutes each morning or evening scrolling through your board or looking at your collage to reconnect with your goals.

  • Visualize Your Success:

Close your eyes and imagine yourself achieving the milestones represented on your board.

  • Take Inspired Action:

Use your board as a guide to set actionable steps for reaching your goals. For example, if your board includes a photo of a successful podcast, outline steps to start or grow your own.

  • Share It with Clients:

Use your vision board as a coaching tool. Share it during sessions to inspire clients to create their own.

Consider setting reminders or using your vision board as a screensaver or phone background to keep it front and center in your life.

Tips for Success

  • Use SEO-Rich Keywords:

When pinning, add keywords like “coaching vision board,” “Pinterest for coaches,” and “mompreneur success” in your pin descriptions. This helps others discover your board and boosts your visibility.

  • Stay Authentic:

Pin what truly resonates with you, not just what looks pretty. Your vision board should reflect your unique goals and values.

  • Collaborate:

Consider inviting a trusted coaching friend or mentor to contribute to your board for added inspiration. They may have the same kind of financial goals as you and can share what they have learned too.

  • Stay Open-Minded:

Be flexible and willing to update your board as new opportunities or ideas arise.

This is exactly what I needed. I have a bad tendency of using my business Pinterest for personal use as well. Just too lazy to switch back and forth I guess 🤦🏻‍♀️ mine could definitely use a little TLC and this is a great process to do it! I also haven’t taken the time to break my boards up into sections, but that’s a great idea! Thanks for sharing!
